Objective of the specialization

Providing the resources to support the necessary transformations of agriculture (notably agroecological and digital) in the face of global change.
Engineers involved in these approaches design, implement, lead and evaluate innovative technical projects within agricultural production systems and value chains (crop and livestock), from a sustainable development perspective.

Analysis, design and evaluation of multi-service cropping systems that use fewer inputs, in particular promoting the use of plant cover crops as service plants.

Skills you will develop

1. Understand the challenges of production chains: stakeholders, regulatory frameworks, economic and social issues, and anticipate future developments.

2. Understand and manage the diversity and complexity of agricultural systems at different scales.

3. Apply technical and digital know-how to serve agricultural value chains.

4. Master the tools for diagnosing, evaluating and designing innovative agroecosystems, useful for the integrated resolution of complex problems.

5. Develop systemic solutions integrating the need for sustainable resource management: controlling agricultural pollution, preserving biodiversity, conserving soils and rationalising water use, while guaranteeing profitable, high-quality, safe production and the provision of services.
