Entrepreneurship Track

Experience real, risk-free entrepreneurship by carrying out a group project from A to Z: from identifying a market gap to launching a concrete solution that addresses it.

From idea to real impact

Objectives of the track

Introduce students to entrepreneurship so they can contribute to the transitions of our sector (societal, agricultural and agrifood), by experimenting with the innovation process internally (intrapreneurship) or through business creation (entrepreneurship), upstream and downstream of the agri-food chain.

  • Get to grips with entrepreneurial approaches in the broadest sense (creation, takeover, intrapreneurship) and foster opportunities in a secure environment.
  • Understand possible innovation strategies (incremental / disruptive – red / blue ocean).
  • Learn the methods for spotting a market opportunity and building a unique concept that meets the expectations of a consumer segment.
  • Get familiar with the value chain (cost price / selling price / distributor margin).
  • Learn to work as a team on an innovative project and to interact in an agile, constructive way internally and externally.
  • Learn to convince partners of the value of the project (written and oral communication).

Skills you will develop

  1. Acquire the methods and tools needed to launch an entrepreneurial project: context analysis, opportunity identification, concept generation, market testing, and pivoting / refining the concept within its business model.
  2. Adopt an entrepreneurial mindset: curiosity, ability to make connections, critical thinking, willingness to take calculated risks.
  3. Master team-based project management: team cohesion and regulation, organisation and planning of complex projects.
  4. Understand and manage innovation strategies.

A flexible path: 3 possible formats

Budding entrepreneur module, in the 4th year

Curious about entrepreneurship leading to business creation, or intrapreneurship, which lets you contribute to innovation within a company or organisation?
This 2-month module lets you experience the innovation process and collective intelligence through the development of an agrifood or agricultural innovation, from idea to prototype.
It combines theory and practice, applied as a team to an innovative entrepreneurial project chosen by the students, “from field to fork”. It enables students to develop the skills that contribute to food and agricultural transitions.

Ecotrophelia competition, in the 4th and 5th years

Ecotrophelia is an impact-driven food innovation competition that lets you experience a complete innovation process through the creation of a real, eco-innovative product, from idea to industrial and commercial development.
It involves forming a multidisciplinary team committed over 18 months to turning an idea into a business creation project, presented at the French competition, then at the European level in the event of a gold medal!

Entrepreneurial final-year thesis, in the 5th year

Devote your last 6 months to creating (or taking over) your own company!

Planning to start your own business straight out of school?
The entrepreneurial final-year thesis is designed for you.
To prepare, you can get started with the innovation process in the 4th year through the Budding Entrepreneur module, or in the 5th year through the Innovation Management and Business Development advanced field of study. Then, in collaboration with the school, you will devote your final 6-month internship to launching your own venture, supported by a teaching team specialised in entrepreneurship.
